Per-thread device testing, with test management in the box
Real phones, Android emulators, iOS simulators and desktop browsers on one Live or Automate subscription — with test cases, visual baselines and accessibility scanning in the same workspace, and every failing test opening on its own evidence.
Free device-minutes to start · no credit card required
The same pricing model. More in the box.
Both price device testing per parallel test with unlimited users. What a TestKase subscription reaches, and what sits beside it, is where the difference is.
| Item | What you get with TestKase | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Real and virtual devices | Sauce sells a Virtual Device Cloud and a Real Device Cloud as separate tiers at different monthly rates. Here, real phones, Android emulators, iOS simulators and desktop browsers are all reached through one Live or Automate subscription. | One subscription |
| Test case management | Sauce has no test-case management product. Cases, cycles, plans, requirements and defects are part of the same TestKase workspace, free for up to three users. | Included |
| Visual and accessibility | Visual baselines with ignore regions and an accessibility scanner that runs in a real desktop browser, in the same workspace as the farm. Accessibility scanning is free. | Same workspace |
| Evidence per test | Video, console output, network log and screenshots hang off the individual test, with a per-test history behind them. | Per test |
| Pricing unit | Per parallel thread, with no per-user charge on device testing and unlimited device-minutes on paid plans — published on our pricing page, no quote needed. | Published |
One thread, every class of device
Testing an app properly means both kinds of device: emulators for the broad matrix, real hardware for camera, sensors and genuine network behaviour. A TestKase thread is spent on whichever the test needs, so moving a test between them is a capability change rather than a purchase.

Our current prices are on the pricing page. Sauce's entry Live tier is $39 per month billed annually, with the Virtual and Real device clouds priced separately above it — read on their pricing page, 11 September 2026.
The failure opens on its own evidence
Artifacts are attached to the individual test, not the run it sat in. One red test in a build of two hundred opens on its own recording and logs, with its history across earlier builds, so the first question — is this new? — is answered on the page.
- Video, console log, network log and screenshots per test
- Per-test history across earlier builds
- A share link that shows a colleague the whole session

Frequently asked questions
For driving a real phone or a desktop browser by hand, and for running Selenium, Appium, Playwright, Espresso (Android) or XCUITest (iOS) suites, yes. Moving a Selenium, Playwright or Appium suite is a change of endpoint rather than a rewrite, and the tests stay as they are.
No. Sauce prices its Virtual Device Cloud and its Real Device Cloud as two tiers at different monthly rates. Here, real phones, Android emulators, iOS simulators and desktop browsers are reached through the same Live or Automate subscription, and a thread is spent on whichever the test needs.
In the same workspace as the runs. Cases, cycles, plans, requirements and defects sit beside the device farm, free for up to three users, so a failing run has a case to attach to and a defect can go straight to Jira, GitHub, GitLab or Azure Boards.
Not on the device side. Live and Automate are priced per parallel thread, so adding a tester costs nothing. Test management is per seat and free for up to three users.
We execute Selenium, Appium, Playwright, Espresso (Android) and XCUITest (real iPhones and iPads, with your app re-signed by our certificate). Results from six report formats — JUnit XML, Playwright, Cypress, TestNG, NUnit and Cucumber — can also be ingested, so runs from your own infrastructure land in the same build view.
Artifacts are attached to the individual test rather than the whole run, so a failure in a build of two hundred opens on its own video, console log, network log and screenshots. A per-test history sits behind it, and a share link shows a colleague the whole session.
Session and run artifacts are kept 30 days; accessibility scan history and schedules 90 days. Export anything your audit trail needs for longer.
Yes. Every account gets free device-minutes on both Live and Automate, with no card required. Accessibility scanning is free, and test management is free for up to three users.
